Here are some frequently asked questions - if you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!
WHAT Does my SESSION INCLUDE?
My session fee includes my time and talent, our communication prior and following the session, our session time, welcome and style guide, travel, the amount of images your package comes with, and an online gallery with a print release. A print release does not mean you own the copyrights to the images. Please reach out if you have questions regarding copyrights.
WHERE DO YOU RECOMMEND PRINTING MY PHOTOGRAPHS?
I highly recommend utilizing mpix.com as your printer. I do not recommend big box chain stores to display your images in your home or to give as gifts as the quality is not the best. I do not guarantee quality when printing at places such as Walmart, Costco, Walgreens, etc.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT or not expect AT THE SESSION?
You should expect to have FUN! You should not expect to sit still and smile at me the entire time. My goal is to provide images that show who you really are. We will create connections between you and your family or spouse that will show real moments. Movement is really important as well - we will move a lot throughout the session to chase the light. Expect to cuddle, relax, and really be in the moment with your family!
WHAT IF MY KIDS DON'T COOPERATE?
This is the beauty of lifestyle sessions. I decided early on in my photography career that I refuse to expect kiddos to sit still for me during our session. I want to capture some gorgeous posed photos, however, I quickly let those poses turn into genuine moments that your kiddo typically dictates. I will tell you to do anything that you do at home that makes them feel happy. While I do try to keep everyone close and in the same frame together, we are typically doing fun things that usually keep kiddos entertained (ie: jumping, singing, running under a blanket). The main thing is for you as parents to come in with an open mind and easy going attitude to give them the chance to be themselves! If mom and dad are relaxed, the hope is that they will be too! Payment is still required even if kiddos do not want to cooperate as it is out of my control.
DO YOU OFFER WARDROBE ASSISTANCE?
This is BIG! You were drawn to my images for a reason. Two major factors go into my work - lighting and styling. All of my sessions are at sunset for the best lighting, but styling is also very important. Earthy tones look best with my editing style. If you look through my Instagram or portfolio, you can see earthy tones are what works best. Once you are officially booked, you will receive a client style guide that will help you navigate what to choose OR you can request that I fully style your family. Give me a budget, sizes, and I will get to work! I'm here to help every step of the way.
WHEN AND HOW WILL I GET MY PHOTOS?
All galleries are sent out via email within six weeks of your session. You will have access to your gallery for thirty days so be sure to download and save to your computer! Rush editing is available upon request for 150 plus tax.
What if I am late to my session?
Sessions cannot be extended due to shooting at sunset and planning the lighting perfectly. However, if we are able we will do it in as much time as we have left.
Payment in full is still required as that is out of my control.
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR PORTRAIT SESSIONS?
I am currently not traveling for sessions due to my schedule - but please come see me in Texas!
DO YOU OFFER MENTORING FOR FELLOW PHOTOGRAPHERS?
Mentoring is offered in winter months on a case by case basis.
